Request for Proposals for a Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Project Architect/Engineer

The Hoopa Valley Housing Authority (HVHA) is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and firms for professional Architect/Engineering services for a proposed low-income housing tax credit development to be located on tribal land in Hoopa, CA.

The scope of work for the Architect/Engineer would be to assist the HVHA with the following:

  • Architect/Engineering services for the vertical design (including preliminary designs, full plans & specifications, MEP and structural engineering, bidding & contract documents, construction contract administration and construction monitoring services). Architect must be familiar with LIHTC design requirements and assist HVHA in preparing a competitive application package with preliminary design documents to be reviewed by HVHA in advance of the LIHTC application. 

Proposals to assist with these services must be submitted to HVHA by December 17th, 2021 by 4:00pm by email only. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered in the selection process and will be retained unopened until after award. HVHA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities or irregularities in the selection process.

HVHA reserves the right to terminate this procurement at any time if HVHA, at its sol discretion, determines it is in the best interest of HVHA to do so.

All proposals shall be written in English. All proposals shall contain concise written material and may contain illustrations. Legibility, clarity and completeness are essential. Twelve point font shall be used.
